  • A sustainability-focused investment fund in a developing market was having difficulty with the capital raising process. To help the client better understand the funding process in developing markets, Pointe developed intelligence regarding how sustainability funds access capital, identified “pain points” and how they overcome them, and how potential funders view sustainability as a topic and determine which funds to support and why. Pointe provided recommendations to enhance its fundraising capability through a diversification strategy targeting both traditional LP commitments and creative non-equity avenues. Beyond helping the client access funds, this engagement served as the basis for a case study to help other sustainability-focused funds in other emerging markets that was presented at COP26.

  • Producer of lithium-ion batteries was under pressure from shareholders to revitalize its flattening growth curve, which would require a shift away from military tenders towards higher growth commercial applications.
